MANILVA AND SABINILLAS

Manilva is just inland from the coastal town of Sabinillas (a town that has practically been reformed). Manilva is surrounded by countryside and contains many vineyards that grow in the slopes around the village. The prominent point of the village, like many Spanish villages, is the church. It's architecture is magnificent and brings in tourists from other parts of Andalucia. As with many of these small villages in the hills of Andalucia, there is much history associated with them, although some remains around Manilva go back to prehistoric times, the majority date back to the Roman times and then the Moors
